During the first day of the ASME Pipe and Pressure Vessel conference, we had some great discussions regarding welding simulation and composite pressure vessel simulation.  We had a number of discussions on hydrogen embrittlement in welds. Dassault Systemes is doing a lot of research on that topic for a couple of major energy companies, so hopefully we can integrate that into QustomWeld in the near future. Below is a picture of students that came all the way from China to learn about pressure vessel design and analysis. We discussed WoundSim’s capabilities to easily analyze composite pressure vessels. They will most likely start using WoundSim in their research on COPVs when they return to China.
